Almost every family participated enthusiastically in the Averroes Academy Family Pot Luck. Parents and students enjoyed dishes from all over the world, generously prepared from scratch. A great time was had by all. After the dinner, students engaged in craft and play activities while parents met with the Executive Committee to receive an update on important school matters.

Averroes Academy proudly launches its latest after-school club, Nasheed al-Huda, or the Beautiful Songs Club. Led by a professional vocal teacher, students practice the elements of singing while learning songs by popular Muslim artist, Dawud Wharnsby Ali.

The entire school was treated to an afternoon of theater when they went on a field trip to see the Chinese Golden Acrobats at the Centre East Youththeatre. Later, students practiced safer versions of the tricks they viewed with the PE teacher in gym.
