After a month of diligent practicing, students participated in Averroes Academy’s Annual Spelling Bee. The goal of this year’s competition was an emphasis on not just spelling, but listening and speaking skills. Congratulations to the winners and all the participants for a job well done!

Several members of the Averroes Academy family performed Hajj this year, including one of our teachers. Please pray that their efforts were accepted and for their safe return.

The students participated in our annual Hajj demonstration program. Each student donned an “ihram” and went through each of the stations of Hajj, simulated throughout the ICC building under the leadership of the Imam. Parents were invited to watch the demonstration. Many, many video cameras were rolling.

Students celebrated ‘Eid after a weeklong break with a day of skating, lunch, a gift exchange and activities throughout the day.
