Students and faculty shared a delicious Thanksgiving meal made by parent volunteers. Students learned about the importance of giving and were thankful to the parents who organized the luncheon.

The Ramadan spirit of generosity and good did flourish at Averroes Academy this month through the abundant food can donations and funds raised by our children for UNICEF. This is proof that the lessons about sincere giving are being taken to the heart, Alhamdulillah.

Students delighted upon their return to school after the ‘Eid break in the events planned for the ‘Eid party. They went bowling, they ate, they exchanged gifts and had an all-around great time together.

Students from around the Northbrook community experienced a Ramadan/Eid activity at the Northbrook Public Library conducted by Averroes Academy teachers. They enjoyed a dramatic reading and craft activity as well as were able to taste the foods of the iftar (fast-breaking meal).
