The beautiful month of Ramadan began with the “Welcome Ramadan” program. The program was attended by faculty, parents, alumni and friends of Averroes Academy.

Averroes Academy parents were asked again this year to collect $2000 from their friends and families in donations.

The misery of the Pakistani/Indian earthquake was felt by every family at Averroes Academy. The school quickly began collecting donations with a goal of reaching $2000 to send for earthquake relief.

Averroes Academy held a canned food drive to benefit the Sabeel Food Pantry. Over 250 cans and boxes were collected. Great job!

The Chicago White Sox championship spirit was celebrated today as students were allowed to wear White Sox athletic wear or black and white. Student Council even designed and sold commemorative pins to their fellow students.
