The Averroes Academy 2nd annual fund raising dinner was held on March 30, 2001.  We were honored to host Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr as our keynote speaker.  Dr. Nasr is considered to be the most influential Muslim scholar in the Western world and one of the most influential in the Islamic world.  He currently heads the Humanities Department at George Washington University and has authored over 30 books on Islam.
